We have a magnificent old Kwanzan cherry tree in our yard, and since I purchased the house, I make a point of holding a cherry blossom viewing party every year since nothing gives me purer joy than this Kwanzan's fluffy double blooms. I also had a nice morning tea session and my favorite sake to enjoy.
This year's main dish was homemade ramen with chashu pork.
Now that I can source pork online, I'm taking great joy in adding it to homemade ramen. Chashu can take quite a long time to prepare by hand, so being able to order it is especially cool.
