I really wanted to grill some mackerel, (but I also picked up some gorgeous rainbow trout) and enjoy some sake with some izakaya (Japanese bar)-type snacks. I ordered some dishes from my fave Japanese restaurant to go with the fish. I have leftover portions I'll use for a traditional breakfast, and probably a tasty lunch. I split the sushi with Crisis. Also trying my hands at a savory egg custard tomorrow (chawanmushi).
